Many customers need to move several load carriers and want them moved from station A to station B as quickly as possible. Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) create what are called safety fields in the travel direction to ensure safe transport and to prevent endangering personnel in the immediate vicinity. [The size of the safety field usually corresponds exactly to the size of the load carrier (LC) transported. ]

If the AMR needs to move different types of load carrier, it usually employs a larger safety field, since it can’t distinguish between two different LCs.
